PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is a government scheme that aims to provide free electricity to households in India. The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15, 2024. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana:

Application Process

  2. 2 Register with State, DISCOM, and electricity consumer number
  3. 3 Provide mobile number and email for verification
  4. 4 Login using consumer number and mobile number
  5. 5 Fill rooftop solar application form with required details
  6. 6 Wait for feasibility approval from DISCOM
  7. 7 Select registered vendor for solar installation
  8. 8 Submit installation details and apply for net meter
  9. 9 Complete DISCOM inspection and get commissioning certificate
  10. 10 Submit bank details for subsidy disbursement within 30 days

Offline application through DISCOM offices:

  1. 1 Visit nearest DISCOM office with required documents
  2. 2 Collect and fill solar rooftop application form
  3. 3 Submit form with identity, address, and electricity bill
  4. 4 Get feasibility study approval from DISCOM
  5. 5 Choose empanelled vendor for installation
  6. 6 Complete installation and net meter application
  7. 7 Submit bank details for subsidy after commissioning
